SHOW RULES

In all classes, the Owner of the horse/Leasee and the Exhibitor must be a member in good standing of PtHA and Southwest Pinto in order to qualify for year-end Awards. Points are not retroactive.

Any class that does not average at least three entries for the year may not receive a year end Award unless there is an Award Sponsor for the class but will receive recognition.

Ties will be broken by the number of First Place wins. After that, Second Place will be used and so on.

Equitation points and showmanship points as earned by the exhibitor will remain with the Exhibitor/Member. Pleasure points transfer with the horse if new owner/leasee is a member of Southwest Pinto prior to showing.

All Pinto classes will be run in accordance with the current Pinto Horse of America (PtHA) Rule Book. Please refer to the PtHA rule book for specific class rules. Management reserves the right to make additions or corrections to these rules without notification,. The horse show committee will not be responsible for cancellation due to terrorist activity, civil disorder or natural disaster that would affect this show. In the absence of any specific rules, questions or problems, policy will be decided by show management.

SOUTHWEST PINTO SHOW RULES:

Any horse, pony or miniature must be registered with PtHA to show.

Every animal entered in this show must be under control at all times or may be asked to leave the show grounds at show management discretion.

Southwest pinto of PtHA will not be held responsible for any loss or damage that may occur.

Please notify gate person in advance of any tack changes.

If the child has a different last name that their parent, you must have a Family Relationship Notification form on file.

Lease horses must have formal lease ID# from PtHA prior to day of show to present at the office to show.

Only PtHA on-site registrations (not transfers of ownerships) and PtHA memberships (for current year) will be processed day of the shows.

CLASSES WITH LESS THAN 3 ENTRIES MAY BE COMBINED OR CANCELLED AT SHOW MANAGEMENT DISCRETION.
